What is data redundancy, power redundancy and connectivity redundancy?

You will encounter redundancy quite often when describing Tier III datacenters. So let's get three terms right at once. What is data redundancy, power redundancy, and connectivity redundancy?

With data redundancy, you'll have your data even if one repository fails

Data redundancy means data mirroring across multiple physical storage locations. If one storage site fails, the data is still available elsewhere.

Power redundancy means that the datacenter is equipped with backup power sources, typically generators, so as to ensure continuous operation of the datacenter even in the event of a power failure.

How is connectivity redundancy handled in SafeDX?

And finally, let's take a look at connectivity redundancy, which indicates that the datacenter has multiple connections to the Internet. This element is important for the continuous availability of data and services. At SafeDX we have redundant optical connection from CETIN, CTD, T-Mobile, Vodafone and Dial Telecom and two independent internet connection nodes (CeColo and TTC).
